1.What are the factors that contributed to the success and failures of Steve Job as a technopreneur?
Some people say you are either born to be successful or not. I say anyone could be a successful one. Hardworking, dedication, courage, self-confident, builds for the future, profit-oriented, persistent, response to feedback, demonstrate initiative, willing to listen, sets own standard, copes with uncertainty, committed, and the last one builds on strategy. “Woz, what we’re doing right now, is like opening doors, everyday, If you open the wrong one, all sorts of bad things will come at you, you gotta careful which door you open.” Steve Jobs said to Wozniak. These statements are the words he says when Apple is earning popularity in the field of business.
Steve Jobs grew up in Silicon Valley who was a fighter, a competitor who believed that he knew better than anyone else with what is absolutely right. During his high school days he was already fascinated with electronics with the help of his father who was some sort of his mentor in this thing. We cannot deny the fact that Steve is one of the famous and considered as successful entrepreneur. “Pirates of the Silicon Valley” is a movie which pictures about the making of the two huge companies in the field of Information Technology in this time. The movie focuses on the two persons which is Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. But it is more on Steve rather than Bill Gates. As I watch the movie, I noticed that there are many factors that make Steve successful and even failures. So first I will discuss the factors that make him a successful entrepreneur.

has passion and you must have a lot of passion for what you're doing because it is so hard. Then without passion, any rational person would really give up. If you don’t have fun doing it or love it the thing would happen is that you will give up, and this is what happens to most people usually. If you don’t have passion on what you’re doing the best way is to QUIT. So Steve Jobs is positively had passion on his work, he is unstoppable in all things that he do. He never gives up on what he had set his mind too no matter what will get on his way. It only implies that if you don’t love what you’re doing for sure you are going to fail.
and Wozniak is determined in the way that even they are just nobodies they tried their best to gain what they need and achieve all their goals when they enter the business. Despite of not having the proper tools and lack of resources they still work on the first computer which brings them to fame especially with Steve. This simply means that whatever the things that will hinders you, if you have this which is what we call determination, for sure all those things will be fulfilled no matter how difficult it is to achieve. Responsible and had courage are also considered because being courageous in the things that you want to achieve is a way to help yourself to be a better a person then whatever will be the outcome of your actions you are responsible for it. “I must be an achiever” is goal that everyone must possess. And take all the responsibility then we should not forget, we need first to be responsible for ourselves before we can be responsible for others.
is a self-evolved person. Then what is a self-evolved person by the way? These are persons who believe on their own capabilities, powers, and strengths. We can really say that he got this characteristic because as we notice on the film Steve does not care whether you agree on his belief if you agree then its good, but if you don’t believe then I will not force you I will just convince you. If you’re not convinced then I don’t care. They usually do not seek for the approval of others as long as in my understanding it will help me then I will go for it. He loves challenges in a way that he can gain lesson or experience from it especially hen dealing failure like the LISA. Not to consider as a failure but compared to the other.
We cannot avoid some characteristics or traits that may hate by other people. We have our own bad doings or attitudes that sometimes we do not know or sometimes we are already aware but we still keep on doing those things .As they said “Nobody is perfect”. So like with other people Steve Jobs have some unwanted attitudes that we notice in the film and this are…..
being impolite is just an example of a factor which makes Steve fail in his career. Since we cannot deny the fact that Steve became a huge star by his hard work and dedication and as known to be the one of the founder of the Apple Inc. . He became rude almost to all of the employees in the company. The scene that will come up to me with his attitude is when someone is having an interview with the applicant which is I think the age is in the 30’s. He embarrassed the applicant by asking questions that are not meant to ask by him. Before that happens he was having an argument with a girl who’s telling him that he carries the baby of Steve. Maybe he is not yet ready to hold responsibilities so he refuses it and told the girl that he is not the father of the baby. After that incident he go immediately inside the company, he approaches the programmers of the company but not in the right way instead of asking them and listening to them he scolded them as they are little children being scolded by their father because he had a problem. He insulted the employees then after that it is the time when he takes over the interview and embarrassed the poor applicant.
another thing is the way he dressed, in the above situation we saw from the movie that even he is in the highest position he looks like an ordinary man which is had a bad attitude towards its employees. Then he is also inconsiderate, which he doesn’t care with his employees as long as they are working.

It takes us many characteristics to become a technopreneur. But by way what is an entrepreneur? What is Technopreneurship? And the last thing is what entrepreneurship is? In this part we will talk about these things which are really a great help to understand thoroughly this things and terms.
It is not new to us that we are now on this age where technology is widely used. Technology has affected our societies and surroundings in many different ways. What is the connection of this technology in this topic? Technology is one of the important things that we should know in order to understand the question but not just this question but the entire lesson and subject. First we must define what is Technopreneurship?
Any definition of the term technopreneurship must start with the word entrepreneurship. Deals with “social”, or having a business. It is a cohesive process of planning, idea development, and creativity and risks taking to create what we call business, entrepreneurs are the person who is doing an entrepreneurship. Base on my researches it is TECHNOLOGY + ENTREPRENEURSHIP = TECHNOPRENEURSHIP. This is the basic formula of technopreneurship which is the combination of technology and entrepreneurship, so having business with the use of technology. Technopreneurs are the persons who are involved in this kind of field. Then who are this what we call technopreneurs? Its us, Information Technology students. Though all people can be a technopreneur , we as an IT student is has the big advantage in our part to be a technopreneur. Technopreneurs teaches humans about needs that we as humans we didn’t knew we need it, Technopreneurship creates jobs.
As an Information Technology student I am not closing my doors in taking the field of being a technopreneur. This is not an easy thing to do so you must have all the skills needed to become one of the successful entrepreneurs. Skills are not enough to be a successful one you must choose the correct path in making decisions. Before entering this field we must think it first if we can handle all the situations that would possibly happened during tits making. Understanding yourself is one of the important keys that have to be considered.
In our time now no one can live without money. You cannot survive if you don’t have money to buy food and all our basic necessities. We have what we call the basic mind set that we must go to school to earn good grades so that after we graduate in college we can have a work which is a good work that can sustain us. This mindset is to go to school to graduate and after graduating is to find a good job and be an employee. It is really my mindset since I was a little kid, but when I heard my teacher talking about technopreneurship and he change the way I think by telling that there is a new one which is to go to school earn good grades and to be an employer which is to build your own business. Here you are the owner so you need employees to work with your business which is also a great help in solving the problems in our society which is being unemployed.
As a technopreneur I should have clear goals in my business. So since I am still a student now, let us say in the future I will be a technopreneur. What would be the basis to become a technopreneur? As I have said we must have goals. But before that we must have an idea on what should be our business all about. What would fit in us? So if we have an idea we must put it in action. But if you really want to be a technopreneur you must be ready on the output of having this kind of career. What should we ready of? As I said It is not an easy work, you need to put your time into it especially when we are still in the first part or the we are beginning the said business. Time is the most important factor in the business, you must invest almost all of your time to make it successful. Perseverance and determination is a great characteristic that a technopreneur must possess, because if you don’t have this it is better that you quit the said business. If you invest your time and don’t have this we call determination and perseverance it is better for us to stop, its useless to continue because time will come you will get tired and stop what your doing. But we cannot blame someone that he/she will give up because it’s a difficult thing to do. This is why we must set a goal in every action that we make in order for us to have path in all actions. But deciding on what you want is not as easy as you thought. It is difficult. Being a technpreneur is not easy as we have in our minds now. From the movie of Steve we can saw there, that in order for you to succeed do what you want, do right and your goals were come into truth. Aiming high in your dream is not bad. It is a way where you think for the future as becoming a technopreneur you must have these characteristic in life because it can help you in pursuing the things you dream. Hardships, difficulties and obstacles in the way are some of the hindrances of becoming a technopreneur. So, if you want to become a technopreneur! OVERCOME it, and for sure you will find your way to success. But this is not only the case to become successful technopreneur. All the abilities, traits, characteristics that a successful technopreneurship should have must be put into actions, not only by words. I know that we learn a lot from the movie of “The Pirates of the Silicon Valley”. It is our step in becoming a technopreneur. Learn from it and use it as a tool to become a successful technopreneur.
3. Would you take the same career path that Steve Jobs took? Why or why not?
Steve Jobs is considered as a successful man in this technopreneurial business. I have discussed in the first question about characteristics of Steve which is his strength to be a successful one. Though he is successful we cannot deny that in some cases in his life he made some mistakes which bring him down. Though nobody is perfect, those actions of Steve can be avoided if he listens on his friend’s advices. I will take the same path as what Steve does. He is a good example to be followed by his actions but I will take it as a big challenge by not making those mistakes again, I will use those failures of him to inspire all people including my self. As I said nobody is really perfect we committed mistakes but the most important is that you will learn from it. I really salute Steve Jobs by being a well- determined person. At first they were just nobodies with a creation which what they called computer. This we call nobodies are the same person who founded Apple Inc. which the very popular product of Apple computer and other gadgets. This is proving that if you are determined to do something you will get it. In real scenario we will also experience those things that happen to Steve and his friends. Unlike with them though they also encounter challenges and difficulties the people easily adopt the product they offered.
“I want to be a technopreneur”, this is commonly a line for young people like us even me. Yes! Its great, then what is my idea? What’s yours? What should my business all about? I can say that these words are easy to say. We can heard it from any different person. Can you show it? Can you prove it? This is statement is really common to us, especially in our stage where we are new to this world, in the world of technopreneurship. Mostly half of what separates the successful technopreneurs from the non-successful ones is really the pure perseverance and determination. This thing is very hard. If you want it then you must put so much of your life into it. There are some rough moments that will happen that makes most people give up. Maybe I can be one of them but I will not blame them even myself, It’s really tough and it consumes your life. If one already had a family and it’s the early days of a company I cant imagine how one could do it, except for the fact that if the member is also into it. Understanding is the basic way to solve it because for sure you don’t have enough time to mingle with them, and even forgetting to eat. So you've got to have an idea or a problem or a wrong that you want to right that you're passionate about otherwise you're not going to have the perseverance to stick it through. I think that's half the battle right there. As I observed, maybe this is why or this is the reason if someone is young and engaged in this matter. Any career in life is not easy. You must to go through different trials for you to get the career you want. Even as now as an Information Technology student I my self have difficulties in pursuing my subject because it so hard. My mother keeps telling me since I was in 1st year that I should stop pursuing my course because it is very hard. She told me that why I am suffering in this kind of field where my mind cannot take all the situations. First time of my life in first year that I got a failing grade in a major programming language, it is very difficult for me because it is my first time but this thing or failure is not a hindrance for me to not to continue with my course. Now I am a 3rd year student still surviving even that im not a regular student. Life must go on. I am now in this part of my life, I am somehow far in my career as an It student, so we must continue and never give up on the things that we thought we cannot do. Fight for what you think what is right, it is the only thing that would make you a better person. Failure in life is part of human’s life. We cannot prevent failing to some of our actions. But this failure is tool for us to learn. So from the failure of Steve Jobs we can learn from it. It not necessary that you would take the same path as like as him then you will also be failed in the future, you will become success but there will be time that you will failed. We have the saying that says “Failure is a key to success”. How these come? In every action we take we cannot prevent failing like Steve. We determined already the causes of failures of Steve Jobs, we identify it and why did it happen to him even in the peak of his career where he got already what he needs. Then from that we must learn from the mistakes of Steve. Maybe we can say that it is the failure of Steve that will somehow help you to become a successful one. Of course we must learn from it. Use it as a tool for not doing the mistake again. From that failure you can gain lesson and use it as an experience or an advantage in your part. It is a way where you can find success in life. As a future technopreneur, we must learn from our mistakes. We cannot avoided this, but the thing that must be remembered in doing necessary actions is to think it first, learn from your experiences. Experiences makes us a fruitful person. Do what you want but consider all the outcomes that what maybe will happen. Improve your self not putting your self down. Learn from all experiences then, you will be successful!!!!
